Panther was a male African-American member of the Ghosts. He subsequently left the Ghosts near the end of their journey to stay with Catalya. When Panther left, Hawk gave him Cheney.
It is told to Panterra and Prue in Bearers of the Black Staff that Panther and Cat eventually became lizards, and together they had children. Panther's descendents are the trolls.
