The Streleheim Plains, also known as the Plains of Streleheim or the Streleheim for short, is an expansive region of grasslands separating Paranor and the forests around it from the Northland, particularly the Knife Edge Mountains and the Skull Kingdom.
The plains of Streleheim are covered in a thin, pale green grass that grows in shaggy tufts on the dry, earthen land. Small bushes can be found on the plain, but they only grow to knee-high at best, and they tend to be bent and gaunt. Even in the spring, the plains are never very green, and little in the way of living things can be found on the plains.
History[]
The Streleheim is where an army of Gnomes battled the Elves, led by King Eventine Elessedil, during the Third War of the Races. It is also where Shea Ohmsford, Panamon Creel, and Keltset encountered Orl Fane, the insane Gnome who had gained possession of the Sword of Shannara. Centuries later, the Ard Rhys Aphenglow Elessedil and her Blade, Paxon Leah, escorted the traitorous Druid Sebec to the Streleheim, where he was executed by the Druid Guard.
