Wisp is a minor character in The Elfstones of Shannara. Formerly an Elf, he was transformed into a small, furry, Gnome-like creature with a wizened face, like that of an old man, by Mallenroh, because it made him cute. Mallenroh uses Wisp as her servant to care for prisoners and to collect 'gifts' from visitors. He assisted Wil Ohmsford, Amberle Elessedil, and Eretria in recovering the Elfstones and in escaping Mallenroh's tower, and he ultimately led them through the tunnels of Safehold to the Bloodfire. He was killed by the Reaper.
